From CCTV operator to running the show in West Auckland, Patrick Pomeroy has worked his way through nearly every role on the HydroVac trucks. Now as Branch Manager, he’s leading the charge to keep standards high, support the team, and continue delivering great results for customers. We caught up with Patrick for a quick Q&A about the job, what motivates him, and what he’s enjoying about his latest challenge.

Q. What made you want to work for HydroVac?
A. I’ve been with Hydrovac for a decade now so it’s a bit hard for me to remember the original reason! But I’ve stayed here because I enjoy the variety and different challenges.

Q. Congrats on your promotion to West Auckland Brand Manager! What excites you about your role?
A. Learning new things and putting into practice some of the skills that Hydrovac has helped me learn and grow. 

Q. What roles have you done over your ten years at HydroVac?
A. HydroVac has given me a great grounding. In my time here I’ve worked as a CCTV operator, hydro-flushing truck operator, despatcher in the office, and truck operator – all of which have given me a great understanding for this role as branch manager.

Q. What do you enjoy about working here? 
A. The variety of work and the good group of people. 

Q. How do you relax?
A. I enjoy playing video games.
