• 1st at Huntly Stockcar Champs
• 1st at New Zealand Stockcar Grand Prize (170 stockcars entered)
• 1st at North Island Stockcar Champs (145 Stockcars entered)
• 1st at King Country Stockcar Champs
• 1st at Auckland Stockcar Champs
• 1st at NZ Stockcar Rumble
• And an impressive 3rd place at the New Zealand Stockcar champs which had 260 competitors — the largest number of entries in any motorsport meeting in Australasia which qualified them a place in the Guinness Book of Records.

After such a successful year, Gary is in line to be crowned Sportsman of the Year by Speedway New Zealand — our fingers are crossed!
