We’re excited about the Envirpod LittaTrap — a smart little invention that works hard to reduce the amount of litter reaching our oceans and waterways.
The LittaTrap sits inside a catchpit/cesspit of a stormwater drain and acts like a sieve. It catches plastic, debris and rubbish — preventing it from reaching our streams, rivers, lakes and oceans – but lets water run through. The rubbish and debris remains in the trap until it is emptied and cleaned by us at the next service.
The LittaTrap by Stormwater 360 can be installed into any premises that has catchpits/cesspits on-site. They’re especially popular for roads, driveways and busy traffic areas, which is where the majority of rubbish and debris comes from.
It’s an easy installation job, taking around an hour, depending on site access and traffic. As with any stormwater device, LittaTrap’s should be emptied and cleaned by a maintenance provider (like HydroVac) every 6-12 months — we can just arrange to do this at the same time as your usual cesspit/catchpit service.
