In a recent interview, Cody shared his thoughts on his transition to the role of branch manager and his vision for the South Auckland branch:
Q. What made you want to work for HydroVac?
A. It’s a different industry with new challenges.
Q. You’ve moved up from working on the trucks – what excites you about this new role?
A. That there’s the opportunity to grow our South Auckland branch and create a culture that people want to be involved with.
Q. How do you think your experience working on the trucks will help with this new role?
A. I think understanding the plant/trucks and their application will make for a more efficient operation.
Q. What did you do before HydroVac?
A. In the past, I’ve been employed by the NZ Defence Force, Department of Corrections, in the private sector management, and in a metro trucking role.
Q. What are the priorities, now you’re in the role?
A. My first and foremost priority is to grow and sustain the South Auckland branch.
Q. Tell us about your family/home life…
A. I’m in a relationship and we have two teenage boys.
Q. How do you relax?
A. By listening to audiobooks and getting out and about with the dogs.
Q. What would surprise us about you?
A. I have a passion for any activities that detach me from society such as off-grid camping, solo motorcycle riding, and family surfing trips.
