Caroline Crann – Manager, Waste Water & Customer Service
Q. What do you do in your role at HydroVac?
A. I manage the wastewater and customer service divisions and champion the use of our IT and software systems.
Q. What do you enjoy about your job?
A. The fact that I have the opportunity to grow and improve the business all the time, and it’s really busy and rarely dull.
Q. What did you want to be when you grow up?
A. When I grow up I’ll tell you…
Q. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A. I’m a dragon boater, and I’m waiting for a world I can go travelling in again.
Kay Neale – Operations Controller
Q. What do you do in your role at HydroVac?
A. I deal day to day with customers issues with their waste water systems, and with our technicians out in the field.
Q. What do you enjoy about your job?
A. I enjoy the people I work with and being able to assist our customers with their waste water issues.
Q. What did you want to be when you grow up?
A. I wanted to be an auto mechanic.
Q. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A. I spend time with family, my dogs and maintaining my property.
Pamela Robertson – Customer Service Operations Controller
Q. What do you do in your role at HydroVac?
A. The question is what don’t I do, ha! I oversee the day-to-day running of Customer Services, supporting my team, booking work via phone and email, answering calls internally and externally, problem solving, arranging truck maintenance, the list goes on.
Q. What do you enjoy about your job?
A. I enjoy working with this great team of people, the logistics of making everything work efficiently for all involved every day, and the internal training we do to improve our people and services.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. I originally wanted to be an air hostess but discovered I don’t like flying, ha! I wanted to be a vet but couldn’t handle putting animals to sleep.
Q. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A. I love cooking, baking and being outside – taking the kids camping, going to the beach, tramping through the bush to investigate nature.
Patrick Pomeroy – Customer Service, CCTV Manager
Q. What do you do in your role at HydroVac?
A. Help with customer service and manage the CCTV team.
Q. What do you enjoy about your job?
A. The ever-changing problem-solving possibilities, having a chance to help colleagues with trying to make jobs happen to keep the ball rolling and everyone happy.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. Nothing specific, I just wanted to be happy. I find that it’s not what work you do, it’s who you do it with.
Q. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A. Family time and chilling at home.
Nickie Thomson – Administration
Q. What do you do in your role at HydroVac?
A. Invoice out the works completed and assist client queries, as well as assist with Payroll.
Q. What do you enjoy about your job?
A. This has been a completely new area for me to learn in – both the skills required for my role and the type of work that Hydrovac does – so I’m constantly learning and being challenged.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. A paleontologist!
Q. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A. Going to the gym and spending time with the people I care about.
Nikki Coutts – Office Administrator
Q. What do you do in your role at HydroVac?
A. I am a Waste Water Administrator so I help our clients with their questions ad by scheduling in jobs.
Q. What do you enjoy about your job?
A. I enjoy the fast pace and consistency that comes with working within the Waste Water Department at Hydrovac; everyday provides a new challenge – you never know what the day will bring!
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. Growing up I wanted to be a professional dancer.
Q. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A. Outside of work I enjoy dancing, exercising and spending time with family and friends.
Sanjay Kumar – Customer Service
Q. What do you do in your role at Hydrovac?
A. Customer service, dispatch, scheduling in jobs for our team.
Q. What do you enjoy about your job?
A. Multi-tasking and the great team I work with.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. I wanted to be in the police force or be a hair and fashion stylist.
Q. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A. Spending time with family and friends and spending some time at church on Sundays.
