We work with facilities management company UMS who look after an extensive list of client properties across Auckland and beyond. They recently called us in to help with a significant leak at one of these properties. Because of the size of the leak and the fact the property is used for a kindy, there was urgency around finding and fixing the issue.
By using one of our hydro-excavation trucks (which use water to dig and air to simultaneously suck out the dirt), we were able to help the UMS team get to the source of the leak without needing to cut into the concrete footpath or disturb the roots of a nearby tree. This meant the existing concrete path remained intact, without need for expensive remedial work afterwards. It also meant the site was reinstated for full use that same day, a priority for such a high-use area.
Thanks for calling us in, Iain and UMS – pleased we could help.
Feedback from UMS’s client:
“Great work here on a pretty complicated issue and a site with high needs. We really appreciate the turnaround time on this one. Thanks to everyone involved.”
